36 Days of Type 2023
My third series of valentimes. I refer to them as "valentimes" as a nod to the way they are exchanged among schoolage children - using the imagery and language of romantic love even though they are sent platonically. The best valentimes from childhood have puzzles or prizes inside. This year's valentimes contained word search puzzles, comics, temporary tattoos, and heart stickers. All pieces (apart from the stickers) are my own original designs.
Yellowcards of Argument
A website with cover tiles indicating logical fallacies for use with facilitating arguments on social media.
Sculpture installation. Large hexes are acoustic studio tiles spritzed with yellow and red dyes. Small black hexes are foam coasters. Quartz movement and hands from Klockit.
In what may become an annual tradition, I have begun sending valentines in the manner that most people send Christmas cards. I refer to them as "valentimes" as a nod to the way they are exchanged among schoolage children - using the imagery and language of romantic love even though they are sent platonically. The best valentimes from childhood have puzzles or prizes inside. This year's valentimes contained custom coloring pages as well as heart stickers and temporary tattoos.

Evil Fortune Tellers
My initial idea was to create Evil Fortune Cookies, but the audience potential very limited. This project plays on human anxieties and delivers the worst predictions.
Alien Language Clock
I designed this clock from a concept I came up with in the mid 1990s. I drew the icons in Adobe Fresco and imported to Adobe Illustrator, where I plotted their size and arrangement. I then printed them out and affixed them to corrugated cardboard. They are attached to the wall with velcro, as is the quartz clock movement, ordered from Klockit.
Golems of the Red Planet
Branding and imagery for Akron based surf band Golems of the Red Planet
For Valentine's Day 2021, I sent out "Valentimes" to friends and family. There were eight designs in all. Each was also sent with stickers, heart tattoos, and custom-made word-search puzzles.
In 2010, I had created a clock dial design wherein the hours formed a tilted square rather than a circle. The one, four, seven, and ten are called out instead of the traditional twelve, three, six, and nine. The first installation was made in 2016 in the corporate offices of Tradesmen International, LLC in Macedonia, Ohio. The most current version is in my living room.
Clock designed for my sister. Made from a series of horizontal boards attached to the wall with Velcro. Painted with accents from the home. Round black dots are felt furniture cozies.

Postmodern Christmas Cards
I created a Christmas card and sold it through Kickstarter.
